Blackout / Room-Darkening Fabric
Our blackout zebra fabric is designed to provide greater light control than a traditional light-filtering zebra shade, making it an excellent choice for bedrooms, media rooms, home offices and other spaces where additional privacy and room darkening are desired.
Please note: “Blackout” refers to the light-blocking properties of the solid fabric and does not mean the room will become completely dark.
Because zebra shades use alternating layers of fabric and require clearance around the shade for proper operation, some light may remain visible through or around the shade depending on its position, mounting method and installation.
If achieving near-total darkness is your primary goal, we recommend an outside-mounted blackout roller shade combined with blackout drapery or another secondary light-blocking treatment.
