How to Measure For Your Blinds
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE MOUNT
An inside mount blind is installed within the window opening for a clean, built-in appearance. Accurate measurements are important to ensure your blind fits properly.

1. Measure the Width
Measure the inside width of the window opening in three places: top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement as your ordering width.

2. Measure the Height
Measure the inside height of the window opening in three places: left, centre and right. Use the smallest measurement as your ordering height.

3. Measure the Opening — Not the Existing Blind
Always measure the actual inside dimensions of the window opening. Do not measure an existing blind or shade.

4. Check the Window Depth
Make sure there is enough depth and a suitable mounting surface inside the window frame for the blind and mounting brackets.

5. Measure Carefully
Use a steel measuring tape and measure each window individually. Even windows that appear identical can vary slightly.

IMPORTANT: Double-check all measurements before placing your order. Customer-supplied measurements are final. If you're unsure about your measurements or whether an inside mount is suitable for your window, please contact Skyview before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE MOUNT
An outside mount blind is installed on the wall or trim outside the window opening, allowing the blind to extend beyond the edges of the window. This can provide greater coverage, increased privacy and improved room darkening, and is also a great option when there isn't enough depth for an inside mount.

1. Measure the Width
Measure the width of the window opening, then add your desired overlap on both the left and right sides. The total measurement should represent the full width you want the blind to cover.

2. Measure the Height
Measure from where you want the blind to be mounted above the window opening down to where you want the blind to finish. This total measurement is your ordering height.

3. Check Your Mounting Surface
Make sure there is a flat, secure surface above and around the window for the mounting brackets or fascia.

IMPORTANT: Your outside-mount measurements should represent the total finished area you want the blind to cover. Measure carefully and double-check all dimensions before ordering. Customer-supplied measurements are final.
